Secularism and Poverty in India
Since the pandemic was started many people in now aware of the rate of hunger, poverty, and unemployment in India. But the thing is that before the pandemic of covid-19/pre-pandemic time the global hunger reported 102 position out of 117 countries. Even in the unemployment rate in 45 years low during the pre-pandemic time. For the countries like India, Pakistan, or we can say that the developing countries should be focused on the main element for the developing the nation like- education, poverty, unemployment, freedom of speech, but instead of developing the main element we shifting towards the western policies by which we thought it will help the nation to grow like them.
In the article of The Hindu mentioned that,
people live in the bank of the Yamuna river are now surviving on the coarse rice and roti with the salt. Previously the people of the villages are depending on the migrants who send money to them but now the process is reversed. Due to the pandemic, strict lockdown and the falling economy every thing is responsible for this situation.
Meanwhile, Bhoomi pujan is
conducted by the prime minister of India. While our preamble of constitution is
mentioned “secular” word in highlighted manner so that everybody should know
the meaning of word, but due to the supreme court decision on the ram temple everything
is the manner of the democratic. It is not seen by any that after the
retirement of former CJI Ranjan Gogoi who give on the old temple disputed decision,
he is now the member of the Rajya Sabha.
People are now polarised and in
this way the government plays a vital role in that, like while conquesting the
Kalinga by the ASHOKA THE GREAT he adopted the way of Buddhism and started to
preach about the religion and peace. By which the Buddhism spread widely in
this time. Like in our situation where constitution give every religion equal
status, but the ideology goes the head of the nation brings the change on that
and will influence and follow his ideology.
Manish Shakya
But one thing which I want to add on this is that We all believe,& follow our religion but we never follows what our religion says..
